ADOPTION FEES:

Adult Cat Adoption: $100
Adult Dog Adoption: $200
Puppy Adoption: $250 ($50 will be refunded upon proof of completion of a dog training class within four months of adoption)

The following cats are all Home Ready - they are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and/or had any medical attention that was needed. We have described the cats as fully as we can, including any information learned about them while in foster care. Anyone interested in one of these cats must complete an on-line application before meeting them, however, feel free to call the contact person listed to get more information on their personality and how they would fit into your home.

We offer "Sleepovers" to see how well the cat, as well as the guardian, will adjust to each other prior to the adoption process.

Josie

Approximate age: 5 years
Domestic Short Hair
Female spayed

Josie is a sweet, mellow lovebug. If she had her way, she'd be in your lap 24/7 & purring up a storm. She has a bit of a dandruff problem, but she very much enjoys being brushed - and with her new healthy diet her coat improves every day. When Josie is really enjoying being petted and cuddled she will push her face into you and give a little "nibble" with her front teeth like a kitten trying to nurse. She has a quiet, crackly meow that she uses to tell you her dish is empty. She seems to know her name, and comes over when you call her. Right now she's curled up in a box, keeping me company while I'm on the computer. While she'd prefer to have you all to herself, she'd be okay with other cats in the home just as long as they keep their noses out of her business!
Josie's a little on the heavy side (just more of her to love!) due in part to being stuck in a cage for 2 months at the shelter with no way to exercise. We're slowly weaning her from her favorite junk food onto a more healthy diet, but it's been hard. If a cat loses weight too fast, she can develop "fatty liver" which can be fatal. Careful monitoring and regular weight checks will be necessary on her road to success. Josie is already spayed and is estimated to be 5 years old (she looks older due to her weight). She tested negative for FIV/FeLV, has been de-flea'd, de-wormed, and vaccinated for FVRCP, Rabies and FeLV.

Maxim

Approximate age: 1-1/2 years
Short Hair Blue Tabby
Male, neutered

Maxim, a handsome male weighing 13 lbs was found wandering with some feral cats. He was probably left behind or dropped off by his owner. Maxim is a strong young man who is affectionate, very playful and usually comes when called. When he plays he will use soft paws and seems to want to be near his human. He seems to get along with dogs. He has been an indoor cat, but has occasionally gone outside, but doesn't stray far. He is neutered and has had his shots.

Sassy

Approximate age: 4 months

As you can see, Sassy is a most beautiful little girl, about four months old and named Sassy for a reason!!! Typical kitten, loves to play, is curious, extremely affectionate and talkative. Nothing like having a cat around who can carry on a conversation with you!!!!! Her purring ability is great as well.

4 Kittens

This sweet litter of kittens was brought to us at the young age of 3-4 weeks. They are a quiet, but playful group and only meow when a brother or sister is playing a bit too rough. To get them to purr, all you have to do is look at them and they start purring immediately. They enjoy being held and pet, as well as playing and running around chasing each other.
Individual personalities:
Orange color, Mystic, male. Mystic loves to be loved, just like his sister Stripe. He's a super sweet boy who loves to play with his rattle ball like he's a professional soccer player!
Blackish/with stripe on nose, Stripe, Female. She appears to be the runt of the group, and the sweetest of the group. She will stick her paws out of their kitty condo and will make a sound that isn't quite a meow, but isn't a purr either, to get my attention. She's just a love, and loves to be loved. I actually think she prefers getting love over playing! She gets along with two small dogs.
Blackish, Mischief, male. This little guy is a born explorer, and will do whatever it takes to be able to explore. He will scale the kiddie gate to gain access to the rest of the house to explore, and will dart out of his kitty condo when I open the gate even a tiny bit to change food, water or clean the litter box. He gets along with two small dogs.
Whiteish color, Cali, female. Cali appears to have some Siamese in her, and her personality says it all. Cali is beautiful and has the attitude that she KNOWS she's a beautiful princess. She appears to be the leader in the litter, and the most playful. She might need to be in a home where she is the alpha female. She is a bit scared of dogs at first, but once she see's that they mean her no harm, she's fine.

Nick & Nora

Nick and Nora take after their famous detective namesakes. They are investigators! A few days ago they investigated and vanquished the stairs. Now they are exploring scratch pads and the pleasures of being brushed. Nick and Nora take plenty of time out to play, but they are always looking for new experiences. They are kittens from a feral mom. Still a little shy, they are socializing beautifully. Love and attention would take care of their residual bashfulness.
Nora is the gray female. She has tested negative, is spayed and has had all her initial shots. Nick, the handsome smoke color kitten, is male, neutered, has tested negative and is up to date with his shots.
They are 12 weeks. born on the 4th of July (approx.) Everyday a new investigation and another endearing personality trait emerges. Together or separate, they would love to have a permanent home and family to investigate!

Rosie and her two litter mates were found in someone's back yard abandoned by their mother. At first Rosie was a little shyer than her siblings but now she loves attention from people. She’ll sit in your lap and rub against you as you pet her. She loves ear scratches and she'll even let you rub her pretty, soft tummy. She loves to play and she is so cute chasing down kitty balls with her fluffy tail waving behind her.
Rosie always uses her litter box and keeps herself very clean. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She has had all her shots and is ready to find her forever home.

Zoe

Snowshoe Ragdoll

Zoe and her two siblings were abandoned by their mother in a backyard in Hayward. Zoe looks like she is a cross between a Snowshoe and a Ragdoll, both variations of Siamese cats. Zoe is as friendly as she is cute. She’ll sit in your lap and purr and purr while you stroke her incredibly soft fur. She loves people and gets along with dogs and other cats. Zoe hadn’t been inside a home before she arrived at her foster home yet her litter box habits are perfect and she is completely content being an indoor kitten only.
Zoe has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She has had all her shots and is ready to find her forever home.
